Emergency responders were called to the scene of a train accident on Monday, May 20.  A person was apparently hit by a CSX train in a remote part of Fayette County.  The call came in at around 1:30 p.m.
The victim was apparently covering her head with a blanket to shelter from the heavy rain storms.

StormTracker 59 Meteorologists are tracking several snow squalls, or lines of heavy snow showers, that will push through Southern West Virginia throughout the day Wednesday.  These bands of snow will produce brief, heavy snow showers which will reduce visibility to a mile or less at times.

A quick coating of snow is possible as these squalls push through, especially on grassy and elevated surfaces.

If driving when you encounter one of these squalls, reduce your speed watch for isolated slick spots, especially on side roads and prepare for reduced visibility.

These snow squalls will gradually weaken as we get closer to sunset so the main threat for snow accumulation will generally continue through the early afternoon hours.

Stay with StormTracker 59 for the most up-to-date weather information.
