On man is behind bars after a shooting.
Deputies say it happened Friday, around 3:40 p.m. That is according to McDowell County sheriff's deputies.
Deputies, along with state police troopers were dispatched to a dispute, involving weapons in the Bullcreek area of Panther.
When deputies arrived, they found one man was shot. The victim had non-life threatening injuries. The victim was transported to Welch Community Hospital for treatment, according to deputies.
Charles Franklin Kennedy Sr. was arrested. He is being charged with malicious wounding and wanton endangerment.
Deputies say the investigation is ongoing and more charges could be filed.
