One business in Greenbrier County is getting a financial boost after winning a local competition.
On Monday, March 18 a man who had been in a position of trust at PikeView High School was arrested by law enforcement officer in Mercer County.
This is a story that 59News brought to you first. Jonathan Kirk was the physical education and health teacher at PikeView High until he resigned in January of allegation of sexual misconduct with a student.
On Monday afternoon, police arrested Kirk on charges that resulted from their investigation. Those charges included three counts of Use of Obscene Matter with Intent to Seduce a Minor; three counts of Use of Minors in Filming Sexually Explicit Conduct; three counts of Distribution/Display to a Minor of Obscene Matter; tour counts of Sexual Abuse and five counts of Soliciting a Minor by Computer.
State Police said there were multiple victims all were 16 to 18-years old. 59News reported in January that more than two girls at the school made accusations against Kirk.
He is being held on a $100,000 cash only bond. Watch for more details on the story coming up on 59News at 5 and 6.
