BECKLEY -
Saturday's Powerball drawing means big bucks for one person who bought their ticket in Beckley.
West Virginia Lottery Director John C. Musgrave announced on Tuesday, March 19 that a ticket worth $1 million was sold in Beckley. The ticket, which matched five numbers and only missed the Powerball, was bought at the Little General Store on the corner of Robert C. Byrd and Rural Acres Drives in Beckley.
The winning numbers for the drawing were 3-7-21-44-55 and the Powerball number was 16. No one matched all six numbers from the drawing. Wednesday night's Powerball jackpot is now an estimated $260 million.
This is the third Powerball ticket worth $1 million sold in West Virginia in the last two weeks. Mary Carr of Barboursville and the Gillispie Family from Julian claimed $1 million Powerball prizes on March 8.
The latest winner has not yet come forward to claim the prize. That person can call the West Virginia Lottery at 304-558-0500 to claim their $1 million prize. The store that sold the ticket also gets a 1-percent award, which is $10,000.
