    On April 10th a search warrant was executed on the property of Oscar Combs Senior on the Bud Mountain area of Wyoming County. State police found skeletal remains of an unidentified human on the backside

Firefighters from several area fire departments worked to put out a 40-acre fire.

The fire started around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to Greenbrier County dispatchers.

More than 50 firefighters came to fight the flames, off of Brink Road in Maxwelton.  Firefighters from Lewisburg and Fairlea were on scene for several hours.

Four properties were destroyed, including a barn.  No injuries were reported.

The state forestry ranger is investigating the cause.
