One woman is dead after a house fire in Greenbrier County.

It happened in Hines on Mill Creek Road around 4 p.m. Wednesday.  West Virginia State Police troopers say the home was totally engulfed by flames.

59 News is told firefighters from Rainelle and Rupert went to the scene.

Investigators have not yet said what started the fire.  The state fire marshal's office will be investigating the cause of the fire.
