Three suspects on the run after one family's guard dog confronts them, according to the Fayette County Sheriff's Department. 59 News has learned about an attempted burglary from the Fayette County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies say two suspected enter a home on O'Possum Creek Road in Hico. They said a young girl was inside the home at the time of the attempted forced entry. Officials said she locked herself in a room and sent out the family's dog to confront the two suspected intruders.

This is when they said the two suspects took off and jumped into a green van with a black hatch door, the third suspect was waiting behind the wheel. Deputies said they believe the three white men were wearing black hoodies and possibly got away in a Dodge Caravan with a West Virginia license plate 6 U R 8 2 7.
