Stephanie Peareth Earns Medalist Honors at NC4K College Classic

Concord University women's golf standout Stephanie Peareth shot a +8 (152) to win the Nellie's Catwalk 4 Kids Classic at the Jefferson Country Club in Blacklick, Ohio. The victory was Peareth's fourth of the season.

As a team, Concord finished in 10th place in the 18-team field with a two-round score of +111, just three shots back of seventh place. California (Pa.) won the tournament at +61 followed in the top-five by Grand Valley State (+62), Findlay (+72), Ashland (+79) and Ferris State (+90).

Peareth opened the event by shooting an 82 (+10) in round one before rebounding with a tournament-low round of 70 (-2) on day two.

Marina Erice was tied for 20th in the 95-women field with a score of 165 (+21) off of rounds of 86 and 79.

Justine Knox was Concord's third finisher at +32 (86, 90), which was good enough to end in a tie for 42nd place. Alex Smith rounded out Concord's participants with a +50 (92, 102), tying for 78th place.

The Mountain Lions continue their season at the WVIAC Southern Regional in Glade Springs, W. Va. April 14-15.
