The Concord University football team has announced plans to host a coaching clinic April 19-20. The featured speaker of the clinic will be coaching great Tony DeMeo, who has successfully turned around four college programs with his innovative triple gun option offense.

Attendees will have the opportunity to observe two Mountain Lion football practices and take part in several "buzz" sessions and chalk talks with the Concord staff and fellow high school coaches for further dialogue in addition to hearing from DeMeo.

Featured speaker Tony DeMeo has had a storied coaching career. His triple gun offense, which gives teams an advantage over bigger and faster opponents, has been a proven success many times over.  DeMeo is considered an offensive innovator for combining a passing attack with the option.

DeMeo owns a record of 137-108-4 in his coaching career, including a mark of 43-23 at the University of Charleston. DeMeo, who has authored five books and six instructional DVDs, has been a featured speaker at a multitude of clinics.

For more information on how to enroll in the clinic, contact Concord assistant coach John Pennington by e-mail at coachpennington@concord.edu, or via phone at 304-384-6309. Cost of the clinic is $25 per coach, checks can be made out to the Concord University Foundation Inc
