Construction projects will lead to delays for travelers

Road work along the West Virginia turnpike will lead to lane closures and delays.

The work will happen during the week of April 15-18.

Major paving and construction work will happen at night between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.

According to a news release, there will be no paving or lane closures during the summer on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays, except in rare or unforeseen instances.

Here's a look at where the work will happen.

Kanawha County:

 

  • Mahan to Sharon - Milepost 66 to 75, Northbound
  • Near Marmet - Milepost 89-90 North and Southbound

 

 Fayette County:

 

  • Between Mossy and Mahan - Milepost 61 Northbound and Milepost 63 Southbound

 

Raleigh County:

 

  • I-64/77 Interchange to Beckley - Milepost 39 to 43.5 Northbound
  • I-64/77 Interchange to Ghent - Milepost 35 to 30 Southbound
  • Near North Beckley, Rt. 19 - Milepost 47.5 Northbound
