RALEIGH COUNTY -

A local seasonal business says the winter we thought would never end just gave them one of their best seasons yet.

The Ski Barn in Ghent finished their winter rush just last week and they're already preparing for the next season.

Manager Rhonda Hazuka told 59 News how this season stacked up against the past few years.

"The last couple of years mother nature has not been as cooperative as she has this year, with warmer temperatures in February the last few years, and them closing down quicker. With it being colder, snow coming soon, and lasting a little longer, it was definitely to our advantage," said Rhonda Hazuka.

She said the Ski Barn enjoyed Winterplace's three-time extended season mother nature gave Southern West Virginia this year.
