LEWISBURG -

If you have a sweet tooth we sure hope you made it to the chocolate party of the year.

The 7th annual Chocolate Festival was held Saturday in Downtown Lewisburg. With crowds in excess of 5,000 and more than 30,000 tasting tickets available it's one event you wouldn't want to miss out on.

Mousse, cupcakes, cake, fountains even beer!

That's right, all of these sweet concoctions were made entirely of chocolate. Walking down the streets of Lewisburg during the 7th annual Chocolate Festival right in the heart of downtown, children could be seen dancing to the music of a LIVE band and of course the tempting aroma of the sweet brown sauce filled the air.

One woman told 59 News being there is like walking on cloud 9!

"Oh my gosh, I'm a kid in a candy store. Wow. Chocolate in every corner is like a dream come true!" said Nikki Robbins.

A Fayetteville brewery came to the Chocolate Festival for their first time with - you guessed it - Chocolate beer!

"Our basic stout recipe has a lot of dark roasted malts and chocolate malt. We use organic chocolate from Ecuador and organic raspberries," said Bridge Brew Works' Nathan Herrold.

A festival attendee traveled from Morgantown to catch the sweet treats and ended up loving the chocolate beer the best.

"The other things I tried here, the truffles and the chocolates cakes, they're very rich and sweet. This is more refreshing. It's a nice change up," Jacob Lyon said.

When we asked Robbins to tell us out of all the heavenly decadents the streets had to offer - -which was her favorite - she said the chocolate covered strawberries trumps them all.

"It's the chocolate covered strawberries."

Being Robbins' first Chocolate Festival ever, she said it not only met, but exceeded her expectations.

Proceeds from the 2012 and 2013 festivals will benefit United Way of Greenbrier Valley.
