A pair of schools in southern West Virginia will host some top leaders in the state to discuss topics from bullying to drug abuse.

On Thursday, April 18 U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin, West Virginia Air National Guard Major Gen. James Hoyer and U.S. John Foster will be at Western Greenbrier Middle School and Bluefield Middle School.  They will be talking about a variety of subjects.  Those will include the dangers of prescription drug abuse, school bullying, and social media misuses.

Here is a look at the schedule for the events:

Western Greenbrier Middle School - 10 a.m.

Bluefield Middle School - 2 p.m.

The program is a part of an effort to raise awareness about issues that affect teens.  The initiative is lead by the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District. School visits like the ones in Greenbrier and Mercer Counties are aimed at increasing community awareness about dangers of prescription drug abuse and other illegal drugs.
