Sheriff's Deputies in McDowell County announced on Friday, April 19 that an investigation into thefts from around the Roderfield area lead to an arrest earlier in the week.

On Thursday, April 18, deputies arrested Adam Fremont Myers, 27, of Welch.  Myers was arrested as a result of an investigation into several ongoing complaints of thefts in the Roderfield area of McDowell County.  Deputies were able to recover stolen property that was worth more than $15,000. 
 
Myers was initially arraigned before McDowell County Magistrate Steve Cox on grand larceny and entering without breaking charges.  Bond was set at $30,000 and Myers was taken to the Southwestern Regional Jail in Holden, WV.  Myers is facing additional felony charges as well as several misdemeanor charges.
