Locations announced for southern West Virginia drug take back day

Law enforcement agencies are encouraging people across southern West Virginia to turn in their unused or expired prescription medications on Saturday, April 27.  It is part of a national prescription pill take back day sponsored by the Drug Enforcement Administration.  The hours of the take back are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Here is a list of locations and the agencies that are participating in the initiative by county:

Raleigh County:

Beckley Police Department: Raleigh County Commission on Aging - South Kanawha Street.
West Virginia State Police: Beckley Detachment at the DMV Office

Wyoming County:

Wyoming County Sheriff's Department:

     Magic Mart in Oceana
     Rite Aid in Pineville
     Rite Aid in Mullens

Greenbrier County:

Greenbrier Sheriff's Department:

     Rupert Detachment
     Courthouse in Lewisburg

Summers County:

Hinton Police Department: Kroger in Hinton

Fayette County:

West Virginia State Police: Oak Hill Detachment

Mercer County:
