Organization works to make Raleigh County shine!

Folks from the Raleigh County "Make it Shine" organization along with the West Virginia Division of Forestry presented tree seedlings to the children and staff at a local day care.

Children from the lollipops and lullabies day care...were given trees to plant. This is the 6th annual celebration and organizers hope it will make Raleigh County shine.

"It validates what our mission statement is, which is to improve the appearance, pride and profitable in southern West Virginia and what better than to watch these children plant these trees," Sherrie Hunter with the Raleigh County "Make it Shine" organization said.

Past events have been held at LA East and The United Methodist Temple. The trees planted at those events are flourishing.
