Charleston Police still searching for man in weekend shooting

Posted: Updated:

Charleston Police are still looking for the man they said opened fire on another man Saturday night.

The shooting was reported on the 1400 block of Second Avenue near Florida Street around 7:30 p.m.

Police said the victim, Terrell Ross, was shot multiple times.

Witnesses reported hearing anywhere from 1-3 dozen shots fired in the area.

Ross is recovering at Charleston Area Medical Center.

Detectives said they hope to recover surveillance video of the shooting from a nearby gas station.

Police said surveillance video has been instrumental in helping them solve some recent cases, including the recent double shooting at the 7-Eleven gas station on the West Side.
