    In Mercer County a man facing disturbing charges involving children appeared in court Friday, August 22 for a plea hearing.Joseph Inman pleaded guilty to 64 counts of possession of material depicting minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.He is facing two to ten years and will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.He will be sentenced in October.He was arrested back in December of last year.

    Sales of existing U.S. homes rose for the fourth straight month in July to their highest level in nearly a year, the latest sign that the housing recovery is picking up after stumbling at the start of the year.

Quaker Steak and Lube, located at 2931 Mountaineer Blvd., in Charleston, will host a Dine to Donate event May 6 to benefit the March of Dimes.

A percentage of the evening's dinner sales will be donated to the charity that supports the health of mothers and babies born prematurely.

"Quaker Steak and Lube in Charleston, W.Va., is excited to help make a difference in our community by partnering with the March of Dimes to help improve the health of mothers and babies," said Brandi Adkins, marketing activities coordinator for the restaurant. "We believe in their cause and have great respect for what they do."

Churches, schools, sports teams, clubs and other charities can host Dine to Donate events at the restaurant.
