    Emergency dispatchers confirm one has been transported to the hospital following a house fire on Falls View Road in Falls View early Monday morning (9/16).The house was reportedly empty at the time of the fire.Gauley Bridge, Boomer and Smithers Fire Departments have responded. Jan Care and General Ambulances, along with the Fayette County Sheriff's Department, are also on scene.

The plaza behind the Chase Bank building in Charleston will have a new name.

Nightingale Properties, which owns the Chase building in Charleston and the plaza behind it, recently announced the decision to name the plaza the "Steptoe & Johnson Plaza."

 "We are pleased to have the plaza bear our name as we celebrate the firm's 100th year," Bryan Cokeley, the firm's Charleston managing member, said in the firm's news release  "We have had a presence in downtown Charleston since 1928. This has been a good place for us and has played a huge part in our history." 

Andrew Santee, property manager of Nightingale Properties considers the firm committed to the state.

 "Naming the plaza after the firm reflects their investment in the building and the community over many years," Santee said in the release. "We look forward to working with them as they begin their next 100 years."
