RAINELLE -

A Greenbrier County family is homeless after an early morning fire on Monday, May 6.

Crews responded to 101 West Oak St. in Rainelle around 5:30 a.m. and battled the flames for about 5 hours.

In addition to Rainelle Fire Department, crews from Quinwood, Rupert, Meadow Bridge and Danese responded.

The home belonged to the Tincher family, Jeremy Tincher, who is the wrestling coach at Greenbrier West High School.

Firefighters said the cause of the fire is under investigation but it may have been caused by a candle left in the garage.

Everyone in the home was able to get out safely but the home is a total loss.
