Danese -

Law enforcement officers are continuing their efforts to put a stop to drug trafficking in southern West Virginia.

Deputies with the Fayette County Sheriff's Department made an arrest in Danese on Monday, May 6.  Danese resident, 39-year-old, Eric Merrill Taylor, also known as "Ricky" was taken into custody on charges of Delivery of a Controlled Substance.  Those were filed against Taylor by the Central West Virginia Drug Task Force back in February.

"Since partnering with the Task Force, we have been making some progress in fighting the flow of illicit drugs in our communities throughout Fayette County," said Sheriff Steve Kessler.  "Anyone having any information about drug trafficking in their neighborhoods is urged to contact us so that we can initiate an investigation."

Taylor is being held in the Southern Regional Jail on a $20,000 bond.  Anyone with information about other drug activity in their communities can send tips to CrimeStoppers at 304-255-7867 or the Detective Bureau at the Fayette County Sheriff's Office at 304-574-4216.  Tips can also be submitted online to the Sheriff's Office web site.
