Multiple reports of trees and power lines down following storm in Huntington

HUNTINGTON -

Huntington is experiencing a series of trees and power lines down in the roadways after a brief storm just after 2 p.m.

5th Avenue and 5th Street is down to one lane. Crews with the City of Huntington have it blocked off at the intersection due to a large tree lying in the road. 

Another report of a tree causing some traffic concerns is Fifth Avenue and 28th Street as well as 12th Avenue and 18th Street. 

A large tree took out power lines and toppled on three cars at the boat ramp in Guyandotte on Buffington Street. 

No injuries have been reported.

More trees and power lines have been reported. Crews urge the importance of staying away from downed power lines.
