The State Fair of West Virginia is still months away, but only weeks remains to apply for a job at the fair.

Officials with the State Fair are hiring more than 200 positions for the 2013 State Fair which is scheduled over the week of Aug. 9 to Aug. 17. Previous employees who are interested in working for the State Fair this year are encouraged to get their applications in by Saturday, June 1.  Employees will receive customer service training and all positions pay at least minimum wage.

"Working at the state Fair is a great way to gain customer service skills, "said State Fair CEO, Marlene Pierson-Jolliffe. 

The State Fair of West Virginia in 2013 is themed "Memories that grow ... year after year."  The Fair has a $13.8 million dollar impact of the West Virginia economy.

"We value the role our fair week employees play in our overall operation," added Pierson-Jollife.

Applicants must be able to work daytime and evening hours.  Applications can be downloaded online at the State Fair of West Virginia's web site or picked up at the State Fair office Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
