The Southern Regional Highway Safety Office has a pair of events that are aimed at improving safety on West Virginia's highways and byways.

Starting on Thursday, May 16, the West Virginia Governor's Highway Safety Program will be holding their Highway2Enforcement DUI Conference.  Officers, troopers and deputies from across the Mountain State will be at Glade Springs Conference Center.

As a part of that conference there will be Top Officer awards presentations.  Officers will be honored as Lifesavers, Click It or Ticket Enforcement and DUI Enforcement.  That conference lasts through Friday, May 17.

Also on May 17, the Click It or Ticket Campaign will be launched.  That is set for 2 p.m. at Linda K. Epling Stadium.  Officials with the West Virginia Miners, West Virginia King's Warriors and Beckley Motorsports Park will be there for the launch.  They are giving passes to their events for officers to hand out to people who are buckled up.
