Energize West Virginia and America's Natural Gas Alliance hosted a town hall meeting in Buckhannon on Wednesday evening to share information about the natural gas industry.

There was a presentation about hydraulic fracturing in Marcellus Shale gas wells, and a panel of people who work in the natural gas industry shared information and answered questions from local residents.

"I'm very concerned about the environmental impact of drilling and the health impacts as well," said April Keating of Upshur County.

"We feel that it's important for us to come out with a message, answer issues," said Bob Orndorff of the Oil and Gas Association. "There's issues with the industry. Its important for us as an industry representatives to answer peoples questions if they have them."

Industry representatives hung around after the meeting to hear residents' concerns and answer questions.
