SUMMERS COUNTY -

This weekend Bluestone Lake will have more than just fishing.  But there will be boats, fast boats.

"These boats will get up to 100 mph on the water," said Chris Meadows Executive Director of the New River Gateway Convention and Visitors Bureau.

American Power Boat Association will hold its Southeast divisional race at the lake which will be set up for many spectators.

Chris also hopes that the event will draw in more visitors to the area.

"There's a lot of money that has been put into this because we think it's going to bring people into this area and they're going to find Summers County to be a place they can come and relax and enjoy things they'll never see like APBA Boat Races."

The races will heat up Friday and the event is free to the public where there will be bleachers will be set up and there will be concessions available to spectators.
