BECKLEY -

Ashley Wilson took over ownership of Beckley Gymnastics in April and this week she is hosting a cheer camp for youth ages 5 to 18 years old.

Kaylee McClaugherty is only 8 but has been cheering for 3 years since her mom introduced her to the sport.

She was one of many campers who were excited to learn tumbling and stunts.

Varsity cheerleader Tesa Danieley has been at it for 11 years but is still working to improve her skills.

She encourages girls like Katie Combs who are new to the sport.

"They can do it, if they just believe in themselves and not give up on it," said Danieley.

McClaugherty agrees, "don't give up. Be your best, do your best."

The camp runs through Thursday.
