    In Raleigh County, a woman is miraculously not seriously injured, after her car rolls over on I-77 around 6:30 Wednesday night.An eyewitness tells us the woman was driving in the left lane on the northbound side. She suddenly veered off the road, over corrected,then slammed into the side of a tractor trailer. The car rolled multiple times before coming to a stop on it's roof.The witness says two small dogs ran out of the car. Moments later, the woman crawled out and ran after one of the dogs....

     The incident happened at midnight between Sunday, July 27 and Monday, July 28. Officials with the library said that a person stood outside the library a made sure that no one was inside at the time.

According to Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin's official Twitter account, Timothy Kinsey has been selected to fill Speaker Rick Thompson's vacant House seat.

 

UPDATE:

The Wayne County Democratic Executive Committee met June 17 and submitted three names to Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin for him to select one to serve in the seat recently vacated by outgoing Speaker Rick Thompson, D-Wayne.

The three individuals are: Timothy Kinsey, Kenneth R. Hicks and Mathew McComas.

Tomblin now has 10 days to appoint one of the three to serve District 19.

Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin issued the official proclamation just after noon June 17 to call the 100 members of the House of Delegates into a special session at noon June 18 to select a new speaker.

Members are called to meet at the state Capitol in Charleston, and the full Legislature is scheduled to meet in Wheeling June 19 for the start of monthly interim committee meetings in celebration of the state's 150th birthday.

Outgoing House Speaker Rick Thompson, D-Wayne, announced in mid-May he would accept Tomblin's appointment at the helm of the Department of Veterans Assistance.

The Wayne County Democratic Executive Committee is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. June 17 to nominate three people to serve District 19 in Thompson's absence. Tomblin will select one name from those three to fill the vacancy created by Thompson's departure.
