    Emergency dispatchers confirm one has been transported to the hospital following a house fire on Falls View Road in Falls View early Monday morning (9/16).The house was reportedly empty at the time of the fire.Gauley Bridge, Boomer and Smithers Fire Departments have responded. Jan Care and General Ambulances, along with the Fayette County Sheriff's Department, are also on scene.

PRINCETON -

The Mercer County animal shelter is in need of urgent help with cats and kittens.

Officials with the shelter say there's been an outbreak of upper respiratory infections in the cat room and all 75 cats need adopted.

The sick ones will go to approved foster families for veterinary care, the healthy cats can be adopted by anyone and will be fixed for you first thing tomorrow morning.

The Facebook post reads: "We are needing URGENT help with the Kitties if you are a rescue, adopter, foster, sponsor, barn owner and you can help please pm this page and directly contact the rescue coordinator And/ or shelter. YOUR HELP MATTERS!!!!!!! If you would like to donate please do so through paypal account alivetoseeanotherday@gmail.com. Donations will not guarantee life but may be the much needed help for a few to see the sunshine. Praying for a miracle!"

59 News is learning that the cats need to be adopted by today at 6 p.m. or they will have to be euthanized. 

The animal shelter will be open at noon today until 6 p.m. For more information call 304-425-2838.
