Deputies discover thousands of dollars in pot plants

The McDowell County Sheriff's Department acted on a tip that led them to nearly two dozen marijuana plants.

Deputies received an anonymous tip on Monday, June 17.  That lead them to the Bug Hurley Hollow area of Jolo, W.Va. where they found 20 marijuana plants.  Deputies told 59News that the plants are worth around $2,000 each on the street.

Anyone with tips on drug trafficking can call the Sheriff's Office in McDowell County at 304-436-8522.  You don't have to give your name when leaving a tip.
