WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. -Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin today recognized two of the state's junior golfers who are participating alongside the professional golfers during the practice rounds and Pro-Am of the PGA Tour FedEx Cup event at The Greenbrier.

Alex Hamrick, 15, and Caleb Lee, 18, were both invited to play in the practice rounds on Monday and the Pro-Am on Wednesday. Both are Junior Golf members of the West Virginia Golf Association.

"Whether you're a young golfer or a skilled, experienced player, the Mountain State showcases some of the best golf courses in the country," Tomblin said. "I'm pleased to see two of our young men joining golf's professionals at the annual Greenbrier Classic. I encourage these young golfers to learn all they can from the course and their fellow golfers. One day, it'll be their turn to mentor a young, up-and-coming golfer."

Hamrick is a member of the varsity Poca High School golf team and was the number one seed as a freshman. The Red House, W.Va., teen has competed in TopFlite/Callaway Junior Tour for several years.

Lee is a four-year letterman of North Marion High School golf team and a recent high school graduate. The Worthington teen has competed in several West Virginia Golf Association Championships as well as several TopFlite/Callaway Junior Tours.

The Greenbrier Classic, July 1-July 7, includes world-renowned golfers such as Masters Champion Bubba Watson and Phil Mickelson and a concert series with entertainment by music legends Aerosmith and country superstar Kenny Chesney.
