Greenbrier Classic thrives off volunteers

The Greenbrier Classic thrives off of their volunteers; without them it would be mass chaos on
the Old White.

Volunteers at The Greenbrier Classic do everything from crowd control, concession stands,
scoring, and even standard barrier.

We had the opportunity to talk with one of the standard barriers, who's been coming to the Classic
for all four years, but decided this year he'd become a volunteer.

"It's something I have heard about doing for a while," said Dave Hasty, a standard barrier volunteer.
"They get a lot of perks and it's great!"

The volunteers can work up to two shifts per day.

They receive many different perks including: from a discounted stay at the Greenbrier Resort, playing
golf to on one of the resort's courses, and being right there in the action, rubbing elbows
with some of golf's greats.
