A federal grand jury met in Beckley on Tuesday and returned several indictments, including one for a man accused of child porn.

Johnny Richard Rowe, 60, of Bluewell was charged with Possession of Child Pornography.  According to the indictment, Rowe was caught on June 19 with hundreds of images and videos of child pornography on his computer.

The investigation was handled by the West Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of West Virginia, Booth Goodwin, said that the effort to prosecute Rowe is a part of an ongoing initiative to fight child sexual exploitation and abuse.

Rowe could get up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. He is being held in the Southern Regional Jail.  His bond is set at $100,000.
