FAYETTEVILLE -

Thousands of people are pouring into southern West Virginia for the 2013 National Boy Scout Jamboree.   It won't be all fun and games, however.

The American Red Cross is supporting the jamboree.

The 2013 National Jamboree will host the first ever community service component, "Reaching the Summit Community service initiative."

Throughout the nine day event, 40,000 boy scouts will perform 300,000 hours of community service in nine southern West Virginia counties.

The American Red Cross will offer water to those community service sites.
