Reds players in the 2013 All-Star game


The 2013 All-star Game is at New York's Citi field Tuesday night. It's the 84th year of the American vs National League rivalry that is for more than just bragging rights. Winner will have home-field advantage in the World Series.

There will be 2 players representing Cincinnati on the National League team, for 1st baseman Joey Votto this will be his fourth straight appearance. He has 15 home runs on the season and is batting over .300. 

The other Reds player is Brandon Phillips who's batting .266 with 12 home runs. The 2nd baseman is making his 3rd trip to the all-star game.

Another notable starter tonight is 20 year old Washington National Bryce Harper who came in 2nd in the home run derby Monday behind Yoenis Cespedes.

The game will air on FOX, pregame coverage is at 7:30 p.m.; game time is at 8 p.m.
