GHENT -

Some Boy Scouts from Missouri got involved in the Days of Service Initiative.

Scouts and leaders helped by spreading mulch and removing weeds from the playground at Ghent Elementary School.

They also set up signs along the nature trails behind the school.

All the while following the Scout Slogan: Do a Good Turn Daily.

Mike Sykuta, Scoutmaster Troop C140, said "doing a good turn for the community, 5 days of the jamboree there's going to be thousands of scouts all around west Virginia doing just little projects like this that makes a big difference in the lives of the families they effect."

The Scouts and leaders wrapped up after a hard day's work by reading to cub scouts. But that's not the only project going on in West Virginia, later on we'll be going to Greenbrier county to check and see what they're up to.
