RAINELLE -

A Summer Teen Expo Block Party is coming to Rainelle, Thursday.

The Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program, Healthy Relationships & Adolescent Initiative, operating under the Rainelle Medical center, Greenbrier County IMPACT Youth Coalition and Western Greenbrier Pharmacy are putting the block party together.

The event is set for Thursday, from 4 to 6 p.m., followed by a pool party that starts at 7 p.m. and continues until 9 p.m.

There will be several health care vendors on hand to talk to teens and their families about skills they need to make healthy and safe choices.   Organizers say there will be something for all ages and all walks of life.

Free food, snacks, drinks and door prizes will be awarded.   Free music and a live DJ will be on hand to keep the excitement going.

The Rainelle police department will also be conducting a bicycle rodeo that will be open to all ages. Free bicycle helmets will be given away to the first 25 to sign up.   This event is open to any and all who can ride a bicycle, bicycle with training wheels, scooter or a skateboard.   Anyone under 12 years of age should be in the company of an adult and are also eligible to participate in the pool party.
