Scouts from northern Virginia build a picnic area in Rainelle

Boy scouts are going all throughout Southern West Virginia, completing service projects as part of the 2013 Boy Scout Jamboree.

One group of scouts worked to build a picnic area in Rainelle on Thursday.  More than a dozen scouts were there.

The scouts are from Ashburn, in northern Virginia.  They say helping the community is something they feel strongly about.

The service projects will continue throughout the rest of this week.  Stay with 59News as we continue to follow the Boy Scout Jamboree.
