Dozens of people are in jail, Thursday, as multiple agencies crack down on drug use in Fayette County.

As of just after 1 p.m., 25 out of 30 people wanted on a variety of drug charges were arrested.

This roundup comes as a joint effort between the Fayette County sheriff's department, Oak Hill police department, the Central West Virginia Drug Task Force, US Marshals service, the Nicholas County sheriff's department and the West Virginia State Police.

The majority of charges center around prescription pills, and even some heroin.

The roundup began at 6 a.m., Thursday.

The Fayette County sheriff's department released the names of some of the people wanted in this roundup.   They include:

  • Mitchell Wood of Montgomery: 2 Counts of Delivery of Heroin
  • James Housely of Montgomery: 2 Counts of Delivery of Heroin
  • Kayla Wood of Montgomery: 1 Count of Delivery of Roxycodone
  • Slade Terrell of Montgomery: 1 Count of Possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver
  • Jessie Tamsey of Smithers: 2 Counts of Delivery of Cocaine and 1 count of conspiracy to commit a felony
  • Mark Foster of Hilltop: 1 Count of delivery of Roxycodone
  • James Cosby of Scarbro: 1 Count of Conspiracy to Commit a Felony
  • Kaitlin Cogar of Fayetteville: Transportation of a controlled substance into the state
  • Evan Evans of Mount Hope:  Transportation of a controlled substance into the state
  • Alesha Canfield of Oak Hill: 1 Count of Delivery of Opana and 1 count of conspiracy to commit a felony
  • Christopher Barrett of Scarbro:  2 Counts of delivery of heroin, 1 count of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver
  • Demetran Devon Gray of Oak Hill: 2 Counts of delivery of cocaine
  • Jason Steven Smith of Oak Hill: 2 Counts of Delivery of Heroin and 1 count of possession of Heroin with intent to deliver
  • Aaron Pettry of Scarbro: Possession with intent to deliver heroin and conspiracy to commit a felony
  • Gary Criss of Hilltop:  Delivery of marijuana and conspiracy to commit a felony
  • Myles Mathis of Glen Jean: Delivery of marijuana, conspiracy to commit a felony and possession of marijuana with intent to deliver
  • Russell Lee Taylor of Ansted: 2 Counts of delivery of Roxycodone and conspiracy to commit a felony
  • Crystal Benger of Edmond: 2 Counts of delivery of Roxycodone and conspiracy to commit a felony
  • Paul Buckner of Oak Hill: Delivery of Roxycodone within 1,000 feet of a school and 2 counts of conspiracy to commit a felony
  • Carla Sue Smith of Fayetteville: Delivery of Roxycodone within 1,000 feet of a school and conspiracy to commit a felony
  • Josh Meadows of Fayetteville: Delivery of marijuana
  • Robert Toney of Hilltop: Delivery of Hydrocodone
  • Ella Buckner of Oak Hill: 2 Counts of Delivery of Roxycodone

  • Vicky Wriston of Oak Hill: 3 Counts of Delivery of Roxycodone, delivery of heroin and conspiracy to commit a felony
  • Earl Keith Withrow of Oak Hill: 2 Counts of Delivery Ritalin
  • James Garten of Fayetteville: Possession with intent to deliver ritalin and felon in possession of a firearm
  • Mary Garten of Fayetteville: Possession with intent to deliver Ritalin and felon in possession of a firearm
  • Travis Hopkins of Fayetteville: 3 Counts of Delivery of Roxycodone and conspiracy to commit a felony
