According to a press release sent in by the Fayette County Sheriff's Department, two men have been hospitalized following a vehicle accident on Route 19 near Glen Jean.

Deputies found a Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck traveling Southbound on U.S. Route 19 that lost control and rolled several times, coming to rest in the median strip approximately one mile North of the Glen Jean exit.

The driver was identified as Justin Isaac Blankenship, age 24, of Widen, W.V. The passenger was identified as Joshua James Dancy, age 25, of Birch River, W.V. Both individuals were injured and transported to Charleston Area Medical Center. Blankenship is described as being in "stable" condition while Dancy is listed as being in "critical" condition.

According to deputies, no criminal charges have been filed in connection with this accident at this time. The preliminary investigation, however, does not indicate that alcohol was a factor in this collision and it anticipated that charges will be filed against Blankenship early next week.

The accident remains under investigation by Deputy L.A. Clay of the Fayette County Sheriff's Department.
