The American Dental Association Foundation recently selected West Liberty University senior Nicole Baker as a recipient of the ADA Foundation Allied Dental Student Scholarship for Dental Hygiene.

"I am very grateful for the scholarship and look forward to completing my degree," Baker said. "West Liberty's dental hygiene program is a great program, and I recommend it to anyone."

Baker is the daughter of Mark and Melinda Baker and is a graduate of Cambridge High School. The $1,000 scholarship will be used for the 2012-2013 academic year, and she will graduate with her bachelor's degree next spring.

Baker maintains a cumulative 4.0 GPA, and she is working as a dental assistant this summer.

The WLU School of Dental Hygiene will mark its 75th anniversary this fall. It is accredited by the ADA Commission on Dental Accreditation and offers both the associate of science and bachelor degrees.
