    JACKSONVILLE -- A Mercer County woman was killed in an accident in Jacksonville FL early Saturday morning. According to police Kimberly Gillespie had stopped her vehicle in the center lane of I-95 going Northbound in Jacksonville when she was hit by an approaching vehicle, and ejecting Gillespie from her vehicle. The West Virginia State Police has announced that two men were captured in Richwood.

The West Virginia State Police are searching for a pair of men who escaped from the Denmar Correctional Facility in Pocahontas County early on Sunday morning.

Thomas Pennington and Larry Morehead broke out of the prison at around 1:30 a.m. according to a release from State Police.  Pennington was serving a sentence for Murder and Sexual Assault out of Kanawha County.  Morehead was in prison on a Sexual Assault sentence out of Nicholas County.  Details about the men can be found at the West Virginia Division of Corrections website.

Pocahontas County Director of Homeland Security, Shawn Dunbrack is advising residents to keep their homes and property locked and secured.  Dunbrack said that if anyone sees the men, call 911 or the West Virginia State Police and do not go near them.  Residents are also advised to report and suspicious people or activity.

 Thomas Pennington is 5-feet 11-inches tall, 190 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.  Morehead is 5-feet 8-inches tall, 225 pounds with strawberry blonde hair.
