LEWISBURG -
The Lewisburg Police Department picked up a man on Tuesday morning who was wanted in Georgia.

Chief Tim Stover said officers were called to the Exxon gas station in Lewisburg that is near the Brier Inn complex.  There were reports of a man who was passed out in a vehicle.

Patrolman A.L. Workman found Derrick Lyndon Kimbrell, 23, of Bibb County, Ga. who was wanted for a probation violation in that state.  The crime he was apparently on probation for was Terroristic Threats.

According to the Georgia legal code, the crime includes anyone who threatens to commit any crime of violence, to release any hazardous substance ... or to burn or damage property with the purpose of terrorizing another or of causing the evacuation of a building, place of assembly, or facility of public transportation or otherwise causing serious public inconvenience or in reckless disregard of the risk of causing such terror or inconvenience.  A complete look at the code can be found at onecle.com.

Kimbrell is being held in the Southern Regional Jail were he is awaiting extradition to Georgia.
