    Deputies with the Mercer County Sheriff's Department arrested two people Monday night, when it was discovered they were making meth with 2 babies in the house. Deputy Horn said the children are 7 and 18 months old.

The iRaleigh initiative was launched for the 2013-14 school year in Raleigh County.  It is a program to provide every student in the schools from Third to 12th grade with an iPad.

The program was officially launched earlier in August.  Now the promised informational meetings for parents have been announced.  These meetings will give parents and overview of the iRaleigh initiative.  It will also provide parents with a chance to ask questions and get answers about the program.  A list of the dates and locations for the meetings is below.  The meetings will start at 6 p.m. in the gym at each school.  They will last about an hour.

Park Middle School  - Aug. 19
Trap Hill Middle School - Aug. 20
Independence Middle School - Aug. 22
Shady Spring Middle School - Aug. 26
Beckley Stratton Middle School - Aug. 29

The schedule to issue the iPads to the students has also been released.  The Technology Coordinator for the Board of Education said that passing out the tablets will take the majority of the school day on the date that they are issued.  Below is a list of the schools and deployment dates.
