Lunsford in court, learns her fate

Posted: Updated:

The mother of a missing Lewis County girl could find out whether she'll spend what's left of her 1 year probation in jail. U.S. District Judge John Preston Bailey will hear arguments Tuesday morning in Wheeling on whether to revoke Lena Lunsford's probation permanently after her third arrest this summer.

Officials repeatedly warned her to stay away from the convicted felon who fathered what will be her eighth child. She met him at a halfway house in Wheeling after her release from prison.

She served eight months for welfare fraud. Her 3-year-old daughter Aliayah disappeared from their Lewis County home in September 2011. Lunsford has been held at the Northern Regional Jail since last week.
