20-year-old Krista Hughes of Coal City competed in the West Virginia finals for the showdown and came out on top.  The event was held in Parkersburg on Friday, Aug. 16.  Krista received a $1,000 check for her win.  She now moves on to the regional competition held at Hershey Park in Hershey, Pa.  That competition is scheduled for Oct. 26 and will include performers from 15 states in the Northeast region.
