UPDATE: Home Goes Up in Flames in Raleigh County

After a house in Beckley went up in flames early Saturday morning and had neighbors fearing for their homes though Saturday afternoon.

The Beckley firefighters were unable to go into the home because the fire caused the floor of the house to cave in.

One neighbor told 59News she was worried for her own home.

"I was very concerned because it's only about 15 feet from my kitchen to the back of my house. It's been burning over 12 hours. I'm still concerned," neighbor Callie Neal said.

The Beckley Fire Department tells us the home is vacant and they are investigating the cause of the fire.






A home on the corner of Hill Street and Comb Street in Beckley went up in flames early Saturday morning.

Raleigh County Emergency Dispatchers said the report of a fire came in around 3:30am.

Beckley Fire Department responded to the scene and found the home fully engulfed.

No one was home at the time of the fire and the cause is still unknown.

Beckley Fire Department is investigating how the fire started.
