CHARLESTON (AP) — Private non-profit organizations in two West Virginia counties have one month to submit disaster loan applications for damages caused by severe storms and flooding this past June.

The U.S. Small Business Administration says the loans are available to non-profits in Mason and Roane Counties. Eligible entities include food kitchens, homeless shelters, schools and museums, among others.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency declared Mason and Roane counties eligible for public assistance on July 26. Storms in mid-June caused flooding, landslides and mudslides.

The deadline to apply for the non-profit loans is Sept. 24.

Applicants may apply online through the website https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela.
