The Fayette County Sheriff's Office made an arrest in a burglary case only hours after the crime was reported.

Mason Campbell, 20, of Fayetteville was arrested on Thursday.  Campbell had apparently stolen several guns from a home in Fayetteville during the afternoon.  Deputies said that he broke a window in the home to get inside.  The home belonged to a person that Campbell had lived with once before.

Campbell is charged with felony Daytime Burglary and misdemeanor offenses of Petit Larceny and Prohibited Person in Possession of a Firearm.  Campbell was arraigned on Friday morning.  He is being held in the Southern Regional Jail.

The burglary case is still under investigation by the Fayette County Sheriff's Office and the Fayetteville Police Department.  Sheriff Steve Kessler encourages anyone with information about this, or any other, crime to call the Detective Bureau at 304-574-4216 or CrimeStopper at 304-255-7867.  Tips can also be left at the Sheriff's Department's web site or their Facebook page.
