    Emergency dispatchers confirm one has been transported to the hospital following a house fire on Falls View Road in Falls View early Monday morning (9/16).The house was reportedly empty at the time of the fire.Gauley Bridge, Boomer and Smithers Fire Departments have responded. Jan Care and General Ambulances, along with the Fayette County Sheriff's Department, are also on scene.

UDPATE:

The Silver Alert has been canceled for the missing Taylor County teen. According to a press release from State Police--- Shawna Ann Way turned herself into law enforcement earlier this afternoon.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation, the West Virginia State Police, the West Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations, the West Virginia State Police Crimes Against Children Unit, the Taylor County Sheriff's Department , the Harrison County Sheriff's Department, the Grafton City Police Department, and numerous other surrounding state, county, and local law enforcement agencies actively worked together in the effort to locate her.

More details concerning her disappearance will follow as they become available.

It is believed that social media played a role in her disappearance.


State police have issued a silver alert for 14 year old Shawna Ann Way. 

Shawna Way is described as blonde, five-feet and two inches, 120 pounds, and light skinned. She was last seen wearing a yellow tye dyed shirt, pinkish/white shorts and sandals with pick straps.

Her grandfather says she's mentally underdeveloped, and that she's been missing for more than 24 hours. Police say Shawna was last seen at Briarview Apartments.
